Art Exhibit - David D'Aubin: A Retrospective

March 04, 2021

The artwork of David D'Aubin will be on display at The Guild in Charlottetown from Wednesday March 17th to Sunday April 4th, with an opening reception from 7-9 pm on March 17th. COVID restrictions will be in place.

David began painting and drawing seriously after retiring from teaching in Nova Scotia. He and his wife Jeanette moved to PEI in1998. David was a long-time member of Seniors College where he created a wide variety of work. He liked bold colours and large charcoal drawings. A lot of his work uses multi-media effects.  Although he was a quiet man there is a fullness of feeling that comes through in his work. David also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and made lovely small wooden containers inspired by the patterns in the wood.

David died in August, 2020.

The gallery is located at 111 Queen St. and is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily (Sunday noon to 5), and until one hour after show time when events are taking place in the theatre.
