Announcement of 4th Speaker for the Fall Course, Tales to Trails

October 02, 2026

Hi all,
We have just added the 4th speaker to this four-part course.  We are delighted to have Finnegan Chandler, a young 9-year-old entrepreneur.  These are some amazing islanders with interesting and enlightening stories to tell.  There is still some room in this course and it all starts a week from today on Friday, October 9th.

Check out this great lineup:
Week #1—Pat Mella recounts her fourteen years in politics in PEI. She served as PC Party Leader, Opposition Leader and Financial Minister. She describes her experience from a non-partisan perspective as well as some entertaining stories.
Week #2-Frank Gillian tells his story on his Irish family and their search for security.  The life of his mother and grandmother is powerful, full of strength, resilience  and perseverance at a time when women did not have rights.
Week #3 -His Honour the Honourable Dr. Wassim Salamoun, the 43rd Lieutenant
Governor of PEI,  will discuss his life as a doctor then retiring from that career and becoming the Lieutenant Governor.
Week #4:  Finnegan Chandler, a 9-year-old entrepreneur will tell how with help from his family and local farm partners he picks berries and makes strawberry, blueberry and raspberry jam. His jam is all made from freshly picked berries from Prince Edward Island farms.
