Course Details

DescriptionA 6 week program open to beginners to help develop strength, flexibility, balance, agility and cardiovascular fitness so that you create a body that is balanced and that works for you. Each week will include strength training. In addition, each week you will participate in a different activity, including dynamic and static balance, agility, gentle flow Yoga and easy to follow low impact cardio movement. You will be given instruction and feedback on each activity as well as fitness tips on exercise, health and nutrition. Sessions include 1. Balance/Agility & Strength Training; 2. Gentle Flow Yoga & Strength Training; 3. Low Impact Cardio & Strength Training; 4. Balance/Agility & Strength Training; 5. Gentle Flow Yoga & Strength Training; 6. Low Impact Cardio & Strength Training.
RequirementsPar-Q and Waiver Form completed before starting course. Please bring you own mat, wear comfortable clothing, running shoes and a water bottle.
ObjectivesTo give mature adults an opportunity to sample four different types of training that help to develop strong, agile, balanced and flexible bodies and calm minds.
Teaching ProcessHands on group instruction, including demonstration and technique with feedback to ensure proper form and technique.
