Course Details

DescriptionRepresentatives from ISLAND TRAILS will introduce participants to the benefits of exploring the many user-friendly walking trails on PEI. Experience-based instruction will cover the basics of trail walking during the first session followed by five weekly guided relaxed walks with informal opportunity to learn from facilitators as you walk. This will be an introductory level course and participants will be encouraged to develop and choose a comfortable personal activity level. All are welcomed.

ObjectivesTo encourage members who may have been hesitant in the past to become active in the walking community
Teaching ProcessOne in class session (Winsloe Lions Hall) followed by five on-trail practical sessions: Confederation Trail (starting at Colville Road); Mooneys Pond; Andrews Pond; Peters Road, Strathgartney; Fort Amherst.
