Course Details |
Description | If you have never cycled, or did as a youth and want to take it up again, join Ted to learn the different riding styles, how to properly choose a bicycle, get fitted properly, basic maintenance, and equipment safety. Then join Ruth, PEIs cycling promoter extraordinaire, for five different rides. She will explain the Trail Networks, trail safety, cycling etiquette and introduce you to the many riding groups that exist. You will also be introduced to the TRAIL VOLUNTEER program. |
Requirements | If you join us for the rides, you will need a bicycle and a properly fitted helmet.
Members will be required to complete a Seniors College physical activity waiver at the first class. |

Background |
Involved in hiking for 35 years. Ruth Delong and Ted Correa will co-host this introduction to cycling. Ted is qualified in various aspects of cycling equipment and Ruth is a longtime cycling enthusiast and in charge of the Trail Volunteer Program.
