Course Details |
Description | The art of photography has since its invention interacted with other fine arts especially painting. We will look at these interactions over recent history from Impressionism to abstraction. As well, we will explore how photography affected fine art painting and was affected it by it. If possible, we will try to visit a photo gallery or go to the Confederation Centre to explore aspects of fine et photography |

Name | Lynne Murphy |
Background |
Lynne Murphy has a B.A, and an M.A in Islamic Studies and a MLIS in Library Science from McGill University. Her area of interest is in the 18th&19th century Islamic societies, culture, politics and religious expression. Lynne has given a series of workshops to undergraduate students on Islam and perception of Muslim women in the West at St. Francis Xavier University, Student Success Centre. She also provided class presentations on the history of Muslim Women for a religious history course at St. Francis Xavier University. Lynne has been photographing most of her life. Over the past 12 years, Lynne has immersed herself in photography as an art form. Lynne also exhibits her work at the PEI Photography Club annual exhibit at the Guild.
