Breathing: Our Breath as a Powerful Tool for Self Care (Kings County)
An overview of the process of respiration and how it interacts with our
physiology, neurology, physical health and mental/emotional health. Various
breath patterns and techniques will be discussed and presented, especially
breathwork for calming ourselves and for coping with physical and emotional
stress.

Course FacilitatorWendy ChappellWendy owned and operated The Whole Way Health & Fitness Studio on University Avenue for nine years.
Trained as a Yoga Teacher in 2002/2003 in Ontario with YogaFit International and has since also certified in both Chair Yoga and Clubbell Yoga (a weighted yoga style); completed 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in March 2017 in PEI.
Training specific to working with a senior population through The Canadian Centre on Aging and Activity of the University of Western Ontario. Successfully completed Seniors Fitness Instructor course as well as Get Fit For Active Living and Get Fit For Action Living - Diabetes instructor courses. Trained (and taught) as a CALA (aquatics) program for people with arthritis. Certified as a Functional Aging Specialist.
Teaching Seniors Fitness Classes and Gentle Yoga for more than 15 years.
