Island Way of Life through Industries (Queens County)

Seniors College of PEI is pleased to present the "Island Way of Life through Industries Series" again this year. This is a series of one-day sessions where the history and development of various Island Industries are shared. Join us in the diverse presentations from the following: January 3rd - Alan Buchanan will talk about the first settlers placing their homes on the shores and how the trains migrated people inland. January 10th - Rory Francis will talk about the possibilities for bio technology as a driver for the future PEI economy. January 17th - Karen Murchinson will talk about organic framing on PEI and bring awareness to what people are eating and mass produced factory farmed foods. January 24th - StandardAero, formerly Vector Aerospace will be present to talk about the growth and the demands of the aerospace industry. January 31 - John Barrett will talk on the history of vessey seeds and the growth of the seed industry. February 21st - Vanco Farms February 28th - Amie Picketts March 7th - Dr. Sandy MacDonald will talk about how Holland College has changed over the years and how they respond to emerging industries.
