DescriptionThe purpose of Computer I is to develop basic computer skills and explore the Internet. Specific topics covered will include understanding basic computer terminology, the development and navigation of personal filing systems, security issues and data backup, email skills, exploring the internet and basic word processing skills. Topics each session include: 1. basic computer terminology and skills 2. personal filing systems 3. security issues 4. data backup 5. email skills 6. browser skills 7. exploring the internet 8. basic word processing skills

ObjectivesTo create a relaxing learning environment that will allow each class member to progress through the course building on their present computer skills and learning new computer skills.
Teaching ProcessClasses are run by introducing and discussing computer skills and then practicing and applying the newly acquired skills.
