Climate Change - Impacts and Programs for Islanders (Kings County)
Participants will learn about factors contributing to climate change and the resulting impacts. The course will primarily focus on the local context and the provincial government's on-going and planned actions to alleviate climate risks, and existing programs to support Islanders in the transition to a net-zero emissions future.

6. An overview of the FireSmart program and practical steps you can take to be FireSmart at home
7. An overview of the Heat Alert and Response System and steps you can take to be prepared and stay safe during an extreme heat event. |
