Gardening in Spring (Queens County)

We will discuss gardening in harmony with nature, putting the right plant in the right place, houseplants with repotting demo, gardening to attract wildlife, 100+ plans ideal for PEI, tasks to do in the spring garden, growing vegetables, planting tomatoes, lawn care, composting, pests and weeds, and any other gardening related topics of interest.

RequirementsNo experience necessary - just an enthusiasm for the natural world.
ObjectivesTo gain knowledge and confidence when tending your garden
Teaching ProcessLectures supported by powerpoint pictures, hands-on experience repotting houseplants and starting tomatoes. Students are encouraged to ask lots of questions in class or by email. Week 8 will be a field trip.

Master Gardner designation from the Nova Scotia Agriculture College and many years of gardening experience.
