A Course of Chakras (Kings County)

The chakra system is an ancient system arising within Hinduism and often associated with yoga practice. Chakras are energy centres believed to influence physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. In this program, we will explore the 7 main chakras (one each week) often worked with in a yoga practice, looking at factors such as where in the body they are located, the physical aspects they govern, what emotions are associated with each, how the chakras manifest in our lifestyle choices and other behaviours, what colours, essential oils, and crystals are associated with each chakra. Each class will include a physical practice -- yoga postures and/or breathwork and/or meditation related to the chakra of that class. Through exploring the chakras, we will be invited to better know ourselves through enhanced self awareness.
