Course Details |
Description | This course will expose advanced iPad owners to several applications, setup and tips to get the most out of their iPad. Classes will focus on specific uses of the iPad and suggest possible applications and best practices.
1. Course overview, review of basics, cloud storage, Apple ID
2. Dealing with your stuff, In-depth iPad overview, App Store,
3. Travel with you iPad, Weekly finds, camera and printing tips
4. Photos, Maps, GPS, Games, shopping, banking
5. Connecting things, home networking, organizing information
6. Entertaining, informing, reminding, lifestyle apps and safe computing

Requirements | Students will need to have advanced iPad knowledge (this is not a beginner’s class). Students will need to have a working Apple-id to participate in this class.

Objectives | To share experiences and learn about some of the advanced iPad uses through applications and tips. |
Teaching Process | The teaching process varies by topic, but generally consists of informal lecture with demonstrations of applications and hands-on student activity. |

Additional Costs or Information | Students must have their own iPad with a current version of iOS installed. Students may have to purchase applications if they would like to use them on their iPads.

Background |
Before he retired, David held a number of senior technical and then administrative positions with the University of Prince Edward Island, including Senior Systems Analyst, Director of IT Systems and Services and Senior Technology Advisor for the campus. He has extensive experience with mobile computing platforms and computer networking, in-depth knowledge of a plethora of applications.
