Course Details

DescriptionThis course will introduce the basic concept of a watershed using the Winter River-Tracadie Bay Watershed as a case study. Topics will include the components of a watershed, the movement of water, and the different ways freshwater is attained. Through completion of this course, participants will be able to define a watershed and its important features as a source of freshwater.

ObjectivesTo encourage people to think about the source of their freshwater on Prince Edward Island as well as on a broader scale.
Teaching ProcessIn-person presentation with a Q and A component.

Additional Costs or InformationFor this outdoor course, dress for the weather as well as for walking for about a kilometer over uneven surfaces along a field and on the beach.
